At Oxford Montessori School, our curriculum is designed to nurture confident, curious and capable learners from Nursery through to Year 11.

Rooted in Montessori principles and enriched by the best of modern education, we offer a broad, balanced and creative learning journey that supports every child to thrive.

Early Years (Nursery)

Children learn through a carefully prepared Montessori environment, supported by the EYFS Framework. Learning is hands-on, child-led and responsive to each child’s interests and development. Regular observation, early assessments, and close SEND/EAL support ensure strong foundations for confidence, independence and communication.

Primary (Reception – Year 6)

Our primary curriculum blends the National Curriculum with Montessori philosophy, offering rich project-based learning without the pressures of SATs. Children enjoy specialist teaching in Music, Drama, PE, Spanish, Computing and Forest School, supported by flexible grouping and a nurturing focus on the whole child.

Senior School (Years 7 – 11)

Our senior curriculum is values-driven and academically ambitious.

Key Stage 3 offers a broad range of subjects: English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Spanish, PSHEE, Computing, Creative Arts and Sport, plus an enrichment carousel.

Key Stage 4 offers GCSEs, Functional Skills, ASDAN, Art Awards, Food & Cookery, Spanish, History and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, alongside personalised support and varied assessments.
