There has never been a more exciting time for your child to join our wonderful, vibrant community of nursery, primary and senior school environments.

We aim to give all our students the best possible start in life and that means inspiring them with our teaching to progress and learn every single day they are with us.  Every school would lay claim to such a founding principal.  In our school we focus on understanding what motivates young people to learn and share their knowledge.  We fashion our learning environments to promote a need to know and a need to share.  This is a natural and modern extension of Montessori's basic principal - to sustain learning situations that require young people to discover how to do things.  This we believe is an essential ingredient for a modern school preparing young people for life in the modern world.  Young people need to have a context for learning that is relevant to their lives - this essential need to know kick starts and sustains the motivation required to learn naturally.

We know how important these early years are.  We know what a difference a school committed to providing a world of opportunities can make to your child's long term development. We promise to follow your child's interest and to try at all times to meet their social, emotional and academic needs. This approach is what makes OMS unique.

Our students leave us well equipped for life away from school, but this is not the only way in which we help them to achieve great things. Children learn key life skills with us,  make lasting friendships and leave us with broad horizons and a rich global outlook.

Our pastoral care, the small family 'feel' of the place helps students to gradually,  progressively develop  the formal and social skills that help them to develop into self-assured and capable young people who can fulfil their potential.

Now is a brilliant, exciting time to join us.  Ofsted have recently given us a powerful boost finding many aspects of our practice good and outstanding and we recently completed new design & technology, science, drama, dance, film and theatre studious facilities at Forest Farm. Our students are already benefiting from the new classrooms and facilities that we are gradually bringing on line. We hope you'll join us in time to celebrate OMS in its 25th year too!

Whilst you will get a glimpse of school life from our website, it is best to meet the people and see the facilities. You are very welcome to come and meet our students and teachers, see them in action and discover for yourself what makes our school really special. You may book a visit here and we look forward to welcoming you at OMS soon.

Warm regards,
